Is the teak spa step/stool (SKU: PTS-BS) hollow? Can it be a container or a step?

I need a step that size now but probably not for long. I'm wondering about possible future uses for it.

The bottom side of it is open and the product is hollow. I wouldn't consider using it as a container, but you could store smaller items under it. It is mainly used as a stool to stand upon or a smaller step to help get into and out of bathtubs.
