Hello,
No, none of our products need to have anything done to them by the customer after they receive our products. Each product comes with a light coat of teak oil applied, and there should be no residual effects from simply having water and soap on them. Please contact us at customerservice@teakworks4u.com so we can further evaluate the situation, but both benches shouldn't show any staining.
